King Bibmbisara who reigned India during Lord Buddha’s era loved his wife Khema dearly. People also regarded the king with respect. His reign was peaceful. Few years later queen Khema became pregnant. She desired to drink blood off the king’s shoulder. Astrologers predicted that the child would kill his father. The child was born and grew up well. His name was Ajasath and Devadaththa who hated Buddha got friendly with Ajasath and planned to kill Lord Buddha. When all plans failed king Bimbisara was accused for this and Ajasath forced his father to tread on fire. He tolerated this ordeal as a respect to his son. Time passed and a son was born to Ajasath. Ajasath then remembered his father and went to see him. But king Bimbisara was dead and Ajasath seeked the solace of Lord Buddha and Devadath was thrown to hell !
